Ted Talks (Does Race Effect Votes)

The speaker, Nate Silver, talks about politics and how race effects votes. He mentions how mixed neighborhoods are more likely to have similar political views. On the other hand neighborhoods such as rural neighborhoods, are more likely to vote for their own kind. He shows statistics about how certain states would not vote for a coloreed president. They were mostly states that are not multicultural. I agree with Silver because in my last blog post I mentioned that I am leaning more towards obama because of the people around me. My parents for example are voting for Obama so I hear from them the pros of voting for him and the cons of voting for Romney. I'm basically being persuaded into voting for Obama by those that i surround myself with, which would be considered my "neighborhood". all in all, your neighborhood and your surroundings effects your opinions.

POLITICS

                                                 Obama vs. Romney
For those of you interested in politics, this post is about the presidential election. I registered to vote a couple of weeks ago and I really want to educate myself on both parties. I registered as a democrat but I'd like to hear all opinions about this topic. There has been a lot of talk going around about both parties lately and I want to know what people think about the things being said. I'm definately leaning more towards Obama right now only because both of my parents are voting for him and most of the people I know in my community are also voting for him. What are the ups and downs of voting for Obama? What are the ups and downs of voting for Romney? I'm mainly fishing for answers from adults much older than myself that are familiar with the voting process and are capable of helping me put together some pros and cons. What do you guys think???
